Cleveland Browns Sign Charles Johnson off Green Bay Packers Practice Squad

Remember how the Packers fans felt when they drafted wide receiver Charles Johnson in the seventh round of the 2013 NFL Draft?  Johnson was raw, yes, but there was enough upside that the Packers were convinced that he had the size and speed to turn into a good receiver for the Packers in time. Unfortunately, it appears that Packer fans may need to be put to rest, as Johnson is now a member of the Cleveland Browns.

It’s an interesting move for the Browns as  Johnson could be playing against his former team in eight days as the Browns travle to Green Bay to play the Packers

It was possible that Johnson could have been promoted to the active roster. As the Packers cutting Jeremy Ross while putting Robert Francois on injured reserve in recent weeks. The Packers also promoted running back Michael Hill and cornerback James Nixon instead. With all that said,  Johnson is off to Cleveland, I hope the Browns promote him for that game.
